Riding To Impress Lesson Guidelines:
(UPDATED 4/4/11)
1. All lesson students must have signed liability releases on file.
2. ALL students regardless of age or experience must wear an ASTM certified helmet when mounted.
3. Own helmet, riding boots and breeches required after 1st month of lessons.
4. Students are to arrive at the barn 15-20 minutes prior to their scheduled lesson to brush and tack their horse.
5. Lesson cancellations must be received by Amy (call, e-mail or text) 24 hours before scheduled lesson time.
Late cancellations/no-shows will be charged for their lesson.
6. Arrival after the student's scheduled lesson time constitutes a cancellation.
7. ALL protective gear MUST be worn at all times while mounted.
8. Horses must be brushed properly before & after lessons
9. Tack should be returned to its proper place in the same condition it was in before use.
10. After lessons, students must clean up their area before leaving the barn.
11. Lessons will be cancelled for overly hot weather (very humid &/or above 90 degrees)
& for overly cold weather (below 20 degrees).
Lesson cancellations are at equine professional's discretion.

Horse Leases
1. Leases are scheduled in addition to your scheduled weekly lesson. I.e. Leases are not taken in lieu of lessons.
2. Lease visits must be scheduled with barn management ahead of time.
3. Rides are directly supervised by barn management
4. All riders riding must observe all standard riding etiquette and must not disrupt other riders.
5. To be eligible to lease, the student must be able to tack up by themselves and walk/trot safely, as well as ring etiquette as mentioned in #4.
6. Leasing is a privilege. The option may be taken away if students do not adhere to these guidelines.
